Welcome to Learn With Scott
I'm Scott, an experienced private tutor dedicated to helping children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autism and ADHD. I provide personalised tutoring sessions in English and Maths, 11+, SEN Support and coaching and learning adapted to each child's unique learning style.

About Me
With a passion for education and extensive experience in Special Educational Needs, I aim to create a supportive learning environment for my students. My journey in tutoring began with my own experiences with ADHD and autism, leading me to understand the challenges that children face. I specialise in tailoring lessons to meet individual needs, ensuring that every child feels confident and empowered in their learning.
Why me?
I tutor because I want to support students in a way I never benefitted from as a student. So much of education is numbers focused and students are treated as tick boxes and statistics. I want each child I work with to be valued for what they are good at and find a way to make learning actually something they can engage with. I didn't find out I was Autistic with ADHD until I was 26. I'm now 30 and am still learning everyday new things about how to go about my day to day life that I wish I knew when I was a kid.
I don't just want to get your child to pass I want them to feel listened to, supported and know someone has their best interests at heart. I can offer the 1:1 support students need in a way they understand because I know from first hand experience what helps me.
Navigating the SEND landscape in the current climate is a struggle! With Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), the constant changes put on teachers and professionals in Education leading them to have less and less time to provide the support that they themselves desperately want to give, it can be daunting. I'm not just someone who can support your child but also support you. I have experience working with, writing and updating EHCPs, navigating the various options available within the SEN landscape that are often under utilised.
Also I'm upfront with my pricing - there's no hidden fees, I won't make you give me your e-mail to find out how much I cost an hour. It's all available plainly to see on my website.
